Some companies try to convince you to buy their compact sleeping bags when in reality they are about the size of a normal sleeping bag; it is just smaller than their normal sleeping bag. The hardest part about using compact sleeping bags though is trying to get them back down the small size which they were before. One way around this is to make sure you get compact sleeping bags which have tighter elastic exteriors so that it is able to close back on itself tighter than just when you try to tighten it.

Make sure to find the one that you need for your style of camping so that you won’t have to worry about spending extra time trying to make it go back down to the size that it was before.
